Modular Portable Vertical/Wire Antenna
The Modular Portable Antenna System (MPAS 2.0) is a concept allowing the radio operator to configure and deploy the antenna system in a variety of configurations to suit the needs of the operator. Some of the possible deployment configurations:
- Vertical Whip configuration using one or both whips
- Horizontal Whip configuration for NVIS operations
- Sloper wire configuration
- Inverted “V” wire configuration
- Inverted “L” wire configuration
- NVIS wire configuration
- Balcony Rail mount using one or both whips
- Vehicle Mounted (Stationary use only)
- Man-Pack Vertical Whip configuration
The antenna system consists of:
- 1 X SKP HYBRID-MICRO or Hybrid MINI Unit
- 1 X 73’ Wire Tinned Copper KEVLAR PTFE (Teflon) (-70°C to 150°C) wire
- 1 X 25’ Wire Tinned Copper KEVLAR PTFE (Teflon) (-70°C to 150°C) wire
- 1 X SKP MIL 2.0 (113″ Long)
- 1 X SKP MIL EXT 2.0 (105.5″ Long)
- 1 X SKP SPIKE MOUNT
- 1 X SKP 50’ Coax with RFI Choke
- 1 X SKP MILITARY BACKPACK ***** BAG MAY VARY IN SHAPE AND COLOR *****
- 2 X 3/8-24 SS Nuts
- Stainless Steel Hardware
